Arrival at Side 6

The hiss of pistons and the and the loud clang of metal on metal filled the fourth dock of Colony 3 in the Side 6 sector of colonies.  It is the year 0079 of the Universal Century. A half century has passed since Earth began moving its burgeoning population into gigantic orbiting space colonies. A new home for mankind. Where people are born and raised… and die. Nine months ago, the cluster of colonies furthest from the earth called Side 3 proclaimed itself the Principality of Zeon and launched a war of independence against the Earth Federation.  It was just after the One Year War began.

This is what brought the Jourir, a Musai-class cruiser to the neutral colonies of Side 6.  It was the transport for dignitaries from the Principality of Zeon which were here to discuss treaties and arrangements with some officials representing Side 6.  Of the crew that were allowed off the ship stepped a rather interesting female.  Everything about here would say she wasn't exactly of the same cloth as the rest of the soldiers that were in her line.  Streaked coloring in her hair, rolled sleeves and a look that demanded anyone to stay out of her way.  Before she could step off the loading ramp, a larger soldier stepped in her way and looked down on her with authority.  Immediately her gaze turned away, but she stopped as expected.

"Izuri! We were all briefed on the conduct expected of us during our visit here, though I know I am still going to get a report about you I won't even bother.  Just make sure I don't have too much paperwork because of you."

"Tch."  That was her only response before she pushed passed him.  Granted he did make it a bit difficult for her.  Finally past her sergeant, the Ensign stopped just off the ramp, glancing around at the colony.  It wasn't her first time in one, but they all were a little... different.

The emptiness of space, the space of which occupied everything around the solar system, including Colony 3 in the Side 6 sector of colonies.

A lone shuttle shot through the sea of darkness, its destination was the neutral colonies of Side 6. It was the transport for dignitaries from the Principality of Zeon which were here to discuss treaties and arrangements with some official representing Side 6. Of the crew that were allowed off the ship stepped was a rather tall female. Out of all the dignitaries and political figures that stepped off the shuttle, nothing about the way she walked or the way she was dressed made her blend in with everyone. Bright Rust colored hair, long black trechcoat, with ranks clearly displaying who she was, and a look with her crystal blue eyes that would force anyone to submit her authority.

Stepping off the Jourir onto the docks was a short slender woman of her early twenties,
she could walk like a soldier and talk like a soldier and salute and click her heels to attention and say 'Yes Sir' until the cows come home.
But all of it was an act, she only did it to avoid contact with overzealous superiors.
It was the way she looked that clearly singled her out from the rest, looking like she'd just stumbled out of the tropics, sun-bleached light brown hair tied back in a loose ponytail,
dark, deep olive skin that would suddenly stop at a near white tan line.
And the way her uniform was worn, or should i say 'draped': non regulation boots, white combat jodhpurs from a unit she didn't belong to,
sleeveless black vest sporting an unbuttoned sand coloured desert issue over shirt,
full fingered leather engineers gloves, a large bayonet knife on her belt and a sea blue ascot at her neck,
she wasn't even wearing her jacket like everyone elce that remained crumpled at the bottom of her duffel bag lugged on her shoulder with the hilts of two dualing swords protruding from the canvass opening.
No way you'd ever guess what unit the almost pirate like girl belonged to if she hadn't exited the ship at the same time as the rest of her troop.

When she became a member of Zeon's special forces, babysitting diplomats on a neutral zone play date was certainly not what she had in mind,
however Aella just gave a small smile as she stepped off ship and in a quietly dismissive tone said
"Under normal circumstances I'd take this job as an insult buuut it really is nice to have some lazy days from time to time" as she examined her new environment with long sweeps of her abyssal blue eyes.

With no where to report to for the next few hours, the rebelious looking female stood there, staring at the sky of the colony for some time. She watched her world turn as her eyes focused on the stars past the glass. As her mind came back to her, she turned to see a few others exiting the port. A rather tall female and another out of place girl caught her attention. They were both officers, the kind she disliked the most, still her eyes were drawn to them. They were here just as she was, stuck on this colony as a warm body for the defense detail. Ryika figured she was bottom of the list, since she was only an ensign. Still, she had her own Mobile Suit which was enough to satisfy her. Though the armaments aboard the Jourir were not to be touched, or so the brass in charge of the escort said.
